Wolfgang Kubin, Director of the Institute of Oriental and Asian Studies at Bonn University, is one of the world's most well known Sinology scholars and has dedicated almost half a century to the study and promotion of Chinese history, literature and philosophy."The German Sinologist" is one of the 10 episodes in the 10-part TV documentary series China Visionaries. This documentary unveils the stories of how Kubin's life was shaped and impacted by Chinese literature, Chinese language, history, and culture, as well as his own contribution to China's contemporary literature.
