Gansu Province, one of the origins of Chinese culture, is located in the upper reaches of Yellow River, northwest China. The kinds of minerals already exploited in Gansu amount to 81 with 10 of them rank the first in their reserves in the country , such as nickel, cobalt, selenium, platinum, etc. and 34 of them the first five. Especially the copper and nickel ore in Jinchuan, the second largest in the world, is only second to the Shouter Belly copper sulfide nickel minerals in Canada.
