10:30 am–Landed at Yangshupu Pie; accompanied by Soong Ching Ling to Astor House Hotel (the present Pujiang Hotel), he met tourist groups from all of the world on the same trip at the hotel; and afterwards paid a visit to Cai Yuanpei at Central Academy on Yaerpei Road (the present South Shaanxi Road).
12:00 noon–Accompanied by Cai Yuanpei, Lin Yutang, Yang Xingfo, and Lu Xun, he attended the reception banquet hosted by Soong Ching Ling on 29 Rue Moliere (the present former residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen on 7 Xiangshan Road).
2:00 pm–Attended the seminar organized by World Literature Society, talked about culture and his impressions on China with Mei Lang fang’s presence at the seminar.
3:00 pm–Back to Soong Ching Ling’s residence on Rue Moliere, and answered some questions concerned with Chinese and western culture, the Far East nations’out of oppression and British’s policies to China at a press conference.
4:30 pm–Visited“January 28”Husong Site.
11 pm–Boarded the ship for Qinhuangdao.
