The "ethical turn" of contemporary philosophical narration

From:社科报2021-2-6 19:12

Ouyang Qian wrote in the 11th issue of Social Science Front for 2020 that compared with the traditional philosophical narrative, the change of contemporary philosophical narrative lies in the descending from ideas to the experiencing life. Philosophy is no longer keen on the "existence" in the horizon, but on the "phenomenon" in front of us. "Linguistic turn" and "Ethical Turn" are the most representative theoretical turns reflecting the narrative changes of contemporary philosophy. Moreover, the "linguistic turn" and the "Ethical Turn" are gradually converging, aiming at the social integration of contemporary multiculturalism. From the perspective of various contradictions and crises faced by contemporary society, compared with other survival problems encountered by human beings, such as economic development and technological revolution, human unity has obviously become an overwhelming philosophical problem. Therefore, the reconstruction of social morality has become the top priority of philosophy. Contemporary philosophy focuses on practical ethical issues. In a certain sense, the "Ethical Turn" of contemporary philosophy narrative not only witnesses the theoretical action of philosophy at present, but also indicates the ideological cause of Philosophy in the future.
