The influence of "internet celebrities" on public culture

From:社科报2021-4-16 13:46

Su Zhan and sun Jiashan wrote in the second issue of Art Review for 2021 that while contemporary Chinese network "influencers" are creating content, they gradually expand their influence to the fields of art and public culture through the creation of aesthetic paradigm and the guidance of aesthetic fashion. This transformation is closely related to the media iteration, the transformation of contemporary China's economic structure and the transformation of its position in the global market; at the same time, the transformation process from expressing and disseminating views to sharing perceptual experience of daily life also forms a subtle isomorphic relationship with the "empire" picture described by Hart and Negri. The emergence and popularity of live broadcast anchors and short video creators in the era of mobile Internet in contemporary China not only shows that the aesthetic and emotional structure of contemporary Chinese society has undergone internal changes, but also reveals the birth of contemporary perceptual community and its cultural potential under the new perceptual organization.
