Zhang Fugui wrote in the second issue of Journal of Wuhan University (PHILOSOPHY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES EDITION) in 2021, pointing out that university language is a special field in the history of Chinese language and literature education. Although the University Chinese curriculum is established earlier, it is not mature, uncertain in status and unclear in attributes, which may be rare in all subjects. The main reasons for this phenomenon lie in the over differentiation of the discipline setting in higher education and the over utilitarian of the subject values. Whether the aesthetic, intellectual and practical problems of College Chinese can be generally accepted is an important sign of whether it is mature as a subject. College Chinese should not belong to pedagogy, but a comprehensive secondary subject in Chinese language and literature, and also have the public class attribute.
