Ge Zhaoguang wrote in the third issue of Literature, History and Philosophy in 2021 that the change of understanding about the world in Chinese traditional historiography is very noteworthy. Since the records of the historian in the second century BC, China has formed the world concept of "taking the central dynasty as the center and the four ethnic groups around as vassals". In the two thousand years since then, there have been three opportunities for change that may not be realized. However, it was not until the mid-19th century that this idea was fundamentally shaken. The new world concept finally became common sense and entered textbooks, replacing the traditional world concept.
