Effects of artificial intelligence on environmental pollution control under environmental decentralization system

Zhang Wei and Li Guoxiang wrote in the third issue of Journal of Shaanxi Normal University (Philosophy Society Edition) in 2021 that with the decentralization of environment giving local governments greater environmental management authority, the application of artificial intelligence technology by local governments has opened up a new path for environmental pollution control. Environmental decentralization stimulates the enthusiasm of local governments for environmental protection, improves the efficiency of environmental pollution control, and also induces lax environmental supervision of local governments, resulting in the deterioration of environmental quality. The application of artificial intelligence realizes the fine management of the environment and improves the administrative efficiency between and within the government; The ecological environment intelligent supervision system constructed by artificial intelligence improves the cross regional supervision efficiency and realizes the effective treatment of environmental pollution. Further measures such as accelerating the construction of intelligent environmental pollution control system and improving the participation of stakeholders need to be put in place so as to achieve the effective combination of artificial intelligence and environmental pollution control.
