On September 15, the Blue Book on the Sense of Public Security: Report of the Public Security Sense in Chinese Cities (2020) was jointly released by the China Society of Emergency Management, China University of Mining and Technology and Social Sciences Academic Press.
The survey results show that the national urban public security sense index reached 0.5016 in 2019, compared with 0.4783 in the previous year, an increase of 4.87%. The national urban public security sense index generally increased. Combined with the national sub-items of public security sense index and ranking of cities from 2017 to 2019, the sense of security of public facilities and natural security have been in the top two for three consecutive years, maintaining a high level, while the sense of information security has ranked bottom for three consecutive years. The rankings of sense of traffic safety, sense of public security, sense of public health safety and sense of social security have not changed much. Urban women's sense of public order security is relatively low compared with other types of security. At the same time, from 2017 to 2019, the public order security sense index of urban youth groups continued to increase and improve in a straight line.
