Seize Opportunities for Work of Care of Next Generation in New Media Environment

The Blue Book of the Care of the Next Generation: Annual Report on the Care of the Next Generation in China (2021) was recently released by China Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Social Sciences Academic Press.

The number of Internet users in China had hit 1.011 billion as of June 2021, with the Internet availability rate of 71.6 percent, according to the 48th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China. New media has become indispensable part of people's work and life. To achieve innovative development in the work of the care of the next generation, we shall follow the trend, seize opportunities, take up challenges and take the initiative.

According to the report, new media is interactive, helping to improve the effectiveness of the work of the care of the next generation; new media is virtual, helping to improve the pertinence of the work; and new media is mobile, helping to improve the efficiency of the work.
