According to the International Situation Report (2022) of CASS, despite the headwinds of the pandemic, Belt and Road cooperation has not paused, but forged ahead; the enthusiasm of the world community for the Belt and Road Initiative is running high and international cooperation under BRI has further demonstrated its strong resilience.
China has signed more than 200 documents on Belt and Road Cooperation with 147 countries and 32 international organization as of the end of 2021. According to the General Administration of Customs, China's total volume of trade with countries under BRI in 2021 was 11.6 trillion yuan, up 23.6% from 2020 (2.2 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of China's foreign trade in the same period).
