Shanghai Museum, together with Kankanews of Shanghai Media Group, launched a special program --"Virtual Exhibition of Donated Cultural Relics of Shanghai Museum" to take visitors to admire precious donated cultural relics and interpret the stories between donors and Shanghai Museum, when the museum is closed amid COVID-19.
The virtual exhibition, kicked off at Shanghai Museum on March 9, has brought 195 pieces/groups of donated cultural relics, covering painting and calligraphy, bronze, jade, seals, bamboo carvings, sculptures, ceramics, coins and so on, including Regular Script Notes for Dai Lou Yuan written by Zhang Jizhi in the Southern Song Dynasty, Running Hand Shurangama Sutra written by Wang Anshi in the Northern Song Dynasty, Collected Works of Wang Wengong in the Southern Song Dynasty, Shang Yang Halberd in the Warring States Period, inscriptions on ox bones in the late Shang Dynasty, bronze in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the painting of Shen Zhou in the Ming Dynasty.
The exhibition runs until September 4.
