The annual shareholders’ meeting of SAIC Motor, China's largest automaker, was held on May 20. It was stated at the meeting that SAIC Motor will focus on user experience, and concentrate on building “seven major technology bases”. These will include three major vehicle technology platforms: the “SAIC Motor Nebula” pure electric exclusive system platform; the “SAIC Motor Everest” oil and electricity integration vehicle architecture; and the “SAIC Motor Galaxy” electric-hydrogen integrated vehicle architecture. The remaining four bases represent four key system technologies: the blue core powertrain system; the platform-based Rubik’s Cube battery system; the green core electric drive system; and the “Galaxy” full-stack smart car solution.
