Philanthropy Calls for Digitalization

On May 20, a forum of the 2022 China Internet Philanthropy Summit - Digitalization of China's Large Philanthropic Organizations, was held online by the Institute for Philanthropy Development, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Digitization of philanthropic organizations represents a general trend; philanthropic organizations are calling for digitalization, and the high-quality development of philanthropy also calls for digitalization, Liu Zhongxiang, Vice President of China Charity Alliance, remarked in his speech. At the meeting, Xu Jialiang, distinguished professor at the School of International and Public Affairs of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and President of the Institute for Philanthropy Development, released the Research Report on Digitalization of Large Philanthropic Organizations in China. Adopting the methodology of questionnaires and interviews, the report develops secondary and tertiary indicators from internal and external levels, establishes a set of visual digital index system for philanthropic organizations, develops measurable digital content, and summarizes the application framework of digital technology for philanthropic organizations, including strategic deployment and implementation, office automation, collaborative intelligence, data collection and value realization.
