Teens to learn street dance at school

What is it like to learn street dance in class? Two schools in Shanghai will soon help teenagers develop their interest in hip-hop dancing.

The two schools are: Meiyuan Primary School in Pudong New Area and Shanghai Sports Technical School.

As breakdancing has been included in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and was included in the 2021 National Games, street dance has become popular among the general public and some have taken heed of the cultivation of latent talents.

“It is of great significance to strengthen youth sports education and the training of latent talents for competitive sports,” said Jiang Xian, president of the Shanghai Dance Sport Association.
