Upskilling Training for Teachers and Principals of ASEAN Special Schools Kicked off in Shanghai

On July 12, the "Upskilling Training for Teachers and Principals of ASEAN Special Schools" was kicked off in UNESCO Teacher Education Center located in Shanghai Normal University. The training was jointly organized by ASEAN-China Center and the UNESCO Teacher Education Center.

The opening ceremony was held both online and offline. About 1,000 educators from special schools of Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and other ASEAN countries attended online.

In response to the urgent needs to upskill educators of special education schools in ASEAN countries, the UNESCO Teacher Education Center planned a four-day training, covering the development characteristics of special education in Shanghai, curriculum, teaching and teacher teams building of special education in Shanghai, typical cases of running special education schools in Shanghai and the development of integrated education in primary and secondary schools in Shanghai.
