The 5th New Institutional Accounting Conference Held Online

The 5thNew Institutional Accounting Conference, organized by the School of Management, Fudan University, was held online on July 13-14. Professor Lu Xiongwen, dean of School of Management, Fudan University, and Professor Huang Dezun, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, made separate speeches at the conference.

According to Professor Lu Xiongwen, the uncertain international situation, the political and economic environment and industrial environment at home and abroad that are being reconstructed are pushing accounting to fully integrate with other disciplines; accounting is widening its boundary to better serve social and economic development and Chinese enterprises in the new era. According to Professor Huang Dezun, China's accounting research should be carried out after being fully aware of China's difference with the Occident in national conditions and cultural and institutional background, so that the research results can solve new problems of China in the new era.
