Shanghai Normal University Releases the Series of Books – “Family Education Guide”

The seminar on family education and the press conference of the series of books Family Education Guidewere held at Shanghai Normal University on August 28.

Focusing on the methods of family education, attendees discussed the ways of collaborative education by family, schools and community and the aims of building good education ecology of family, schools and society, reducing parents' anxiety about education and guiding children to smoothly spend their critical period of life. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has called for more emphasis on family education and family traditions, which indicates a direction and provides guidance for family education work, according to Min Hui, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Education and Health Commission and deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.

Acting as chief editor, Yuan Wen was commissioned by the Moral Education Division of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission to compileFamily Education Guide. Adhering to the idea of family-school-community collaborative education, the series of books focuses on the combination of academic issues and growth issues, with the characteristics of pedagogy, psychology and Shanghai culture, highlighting practicality, professionalism and readability and manifesting the core socialist values.
