The School of Tourism Management of Sun Yat-sen University and the Social Sciences Academic Press jointly released the Blue Book of Health Care: Annual Report on Health Care Industry of China (2021)on August 26.
According to the Blue Book, as the traditional concept of health care focused more on rehabilitation and elderly care, the health care products and services were mostly limited to the elderly, the pregnant and infants, restricting the development of the health care industry to a certain extent. Under the guidance of the Healthy China strategy, the coverage of health care has been expanded, and more people atdifferent ages have realizedthe importance of health and they have more willingnessto join the tide of national health care. So the age structure of the market has changed significantly, with an obvious trend of the average age getting younger, bringing more vigor and vitality. On the one hand, this promotes the diversified development of "health care +" pattern; on the other hand, this fuels the emergence and development of relevant industries.
