The ceremony for launching the Center of Comparative Study of Modernity, jointly established by the College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University, and the Qiushi Boya Forum, were held in Hangzhou on October 4.
The Center of Comparative Study of Modernity is intended to carry out academic dialogues, cultural exchanges and talent training, explore the theoretical issues of building a community of shared future for mankind, and lead the fashion of cultural self-confidence and the consciousness of cultural modernization through academic research and cultural transmission on philosophy, literature and aesthetics based on the comparison between China and the West.In the future, the Center will make full use of the important academic opportunities brought by collaborative research and interdisciplinary research, produce first-class research results, and explore new academic paths with global significance in collaborative research.
