ECUPL Establishes the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision

On October 30, the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision, as the first such school in Shanghai with independent organizational system, was established in East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL). It will act as a teaching and scientific research platform to explore and establish the research institution of the systems and regulations for the Party’s self-reform and the research center of anti-corruption, etc.; build the academic database for the subject of discipline inspection and supervision; and construct a nationwide well-known academic institution and high-end think-tank of discipline inspection and supervision.

MaoLijuan, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, said that colleges and universities are the main platforms for systematic theory research and talent development in terms of discipline inspection and supervision; the construction of the subject of discipline inspection and supervision is an important measure to implement the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Eraand the important observations of Xi Jinping about ensuring full and rigorous Party self-governance and making sure officials don't dare to, are unable to and have no desire to commit corruption. Guo Weilu, secretary of the Party Committee of ECUPL, said that the university would strengthen close cooperation with the Shanghai authority of discipline inspection and supervision, and make endeavors to build the school into an important base of nationwide influence for talent and cadre development and training, and into an important platform for the theory research and think tank construction in terms of discipline inspection and supervision.
