Shanghai Museum to Open 2nd Exhibition of “Dialogue with the World – Exhibition Series of Arts and Cultural Relics”

After more than two years of elaborate preparations,"Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London" will be on display at the Shanghai Museum from January 17 to May 7, 2023.

As the second exhibition of Shanghai Museum's “Dialogue with the World – Exhibition Series of Arts and Cultural Relics”, it will display 52 oil paintings by European art giants such as Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Gossaert, Caravaggio,Rembrandt, Claude, Constable, Cézanne, Manet, Monet and Van Gogh. It will also be a blockbuster of Shanghai Museum to celebrate its 70thanniversary.

The exhibition will have eight sections with 52 pieces by 50 art masters to present a complete history of European painting from the Renaissance to post-impressionism in the 19thcentury. While enjoying the art feast, visitors will have a glimpse of the European art history spanning more than 400 years in miniature.
