The 4th Global City Development Conference Held in Shanghai Normal University

On the afternoon of April 1, the 4th Global CityDevelopment Conference& Launching Ceremony of Global City Development Report, Cases and Index 2022 were held at the Education International Exchange Center of Shanghai Normal University. Digital Empowerment for Global City Development was the theme of the conference. It was jointly sponsored by Shanghai Institute for Global City, Shanghai People’s Publishing House and Truth & Wisdom Press, and organized by Shanghai Institute for Global City of Shanghai Normal University.

Three reportswere released at the conference: GlobalCityDevelopment Report 2022, Global CityCases2022and Global CityDevelopment Index 2022. According to researcher Zhou Zhenhua, president of Shanghai Institutefor Global City, the people-centered principle is the key to realize citydigital transformation, and offeringvalue to people is the ultimate goal of citydigital transformation.
