Jiading acts on bullying at schools
From:Shanghai Daily  |  2017-04-28 02:29

PROSECUTORS and education officials in the Jiading District are working together to launch a one-year campaign against bullying in schools.

From this month, primary and middle schools across the district are required to set up hotlines and online platforms for students to report any bullying occurring on their campus.

Once alerted, schools should intervene immediately and report to prosecutors in case of emergency, Jiading prosecutors said.

Also, over a 12-month period, students, teachers and parents will learn how to deal with campus violence through lectures and other activities.

Jiading prosecutors also launched a WeChat account yesterday for under 18-year-olds, the first of its kind among Shanghai prosecutors.

Both children and parents can ask for advice as well as help on parent-children relations.
