Shanghai, May 24- An exhibition kicked off yesterday at the Shanghai Museum of Textile and Costume of Donghua University with over 180 photos showing how fashion has evolved in “One Belt One Road” countries.

The photos were chosen from more than 1,000 photos provided by 31 international students from 28 countries, showing people in wedding dresses, folk costumes and everyday clothing.

Marini, an overseas student from Laos, is one of the photo exhibitors. Her photos of wedding costumes are very eye-catching.

These photos bear witness to the history of the Silkroad, said Marini. She expressed her willingness to bring Chinese culture to her home country and at the same time show her country to Chinese friends.

All the collected photos will be saved in the Silkroad Clothing Resource Database, according to Jiang Zhiwei, Director of Donghua University Press. He noted that the collecting of works showing international fashion elements would be continued.

The exhibition is free and will run until May 31.
