Customs clearance integrated nationwide
From:Belt and Road Portal  |  2017-07-05 11:28

China integrated its customs clearance system nationwide on July 1, allowing enterprises to finish customs declaration, payment of taxes and other relevant procedures at any customs agency across the country.

The General Administration of Customs began to pilot the reform in some provincial regions in June, 2016. As of this April, more than 50 percent of import declarations had been made through this integrated mode, greatly improving the speed and efficiency of customs clearance.

The general administration has set up a risk prevention and control center and a tax collection and management center as two supporting agencies to facilitate the new practices and better serve enterprises' need.

By the end of the year, an integrated "single window" platform will be launched nationwide to make it possible for companies to make declarations with a single submission.
