A MAN has been sentenced to a year in prison after an elderly citizen he pushed to the ground died from injuries suffered to his brain, the Jing’an District People’s Court said yesterday. The defendant received the light sentence after agreeing to pay his victim’s family 100,000 yuan (US$15,750) in compensation.
