HOST-OFF, created by ICS, is China’s first bilingual television hosting competition. It is set to premiere on Saturday 18th October 2014 at 7:30pm on ICS. Get ready for a bilingual hosting extravaganza!

The contestants come from over 20 different countries and regions! It's not just a hosting competition, it’s a hosting Olympics! Anyone can apply to be a contestant so long as you have the dream.

The competition consists of three stages: the Preliminary Round, Semi-Final and Final. Contestants must receive three lit PLAY lights to advance from the Preliminary Round. If only two PLAY lights turn on, contestants will have to convince the judges to let them through to the next stage with a Talent Performance. If only one PLAY light turns on or no PLAY lights turn on, the contestant will be eliminated.

HOST-OFF is jam-packed with all kinds of hosting and entertainment! The show features news anchoring, talk show hosting, improvised hosting, rapping, singing, dancing and much more! You name it, we got it! Our contestants will dazzle you with their talents on the HOST-OFF stage!

The Show have three awesome judges! Jiang Changjian expects a lot from our contestants and is not afraid to be brutally honest, while Yuan Ming never fails to offer words of encouragement. As for Dashan, he quickly gains a reputation for being every foreign contestant’s nightmare!

Everything is bilingual! Whether it’s hosting, judges’ comments or even subtitles, everything is in English and Mandarin.

中国人和老外同台竞技，用语言来hold住观众，争当主持人，这可能吗？可能！“HOST-OFF双语麦克疯”——由ICS上海外语频道倾力打造的国内首档中英文双语主持人大赛，这一场景成为精彩的现实。

经过数月海选，ICS终于端出了这道中西合璧的大餐，在2014年10月18日晚7点半黄金时段，奉献给广大观众。

对于双语迷和主持迷而言，“HOST-OFF双语麦克疯”自海选以来一直就是他们实现梦想的舞台，也是展现自我、挑战自我的战场。有别于其他歌舞类真人秀比赛，“HOST-OFF双语麦克疯”打破了之前真人秀“娱乐为王”或“讲故事”的固有印象，而是将文化融合、语言学习以及探索真我价值为导向，真实挖掘双语人才、启迪和鼓励选手勇敢追寻个人梦想。

本次大赛精彩看点层出不穷，可谓，选手实力超不凡、怪咖老外出奇招、中外美女大PK、评委性格大颠覆。而英语不那么自信的观众也大可不必“绕道而行”，因为节目考选手用的是中英双语，但大部分交流是以中文进行，这使得这道双语大餐能够被更多的人品尝到。

本次“HOST-OFF双语麦克疯”的三位评委——大山、袁鸣、蒋昌建都是各自领域的代表人物，此次出任“HOST-OFF双语麦克疯”的评委也都十分投入，常常为选手们的表现动容，在面对选手时也会各有建树地提出专业且富有个人魅力的点评。
