The Changning district's Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau recently sent nine units to conduct spot checks at area supermarkets for cooked and frozen food safety. Officials checked the packaging and dates of the goods. A bureau official said the examinations would continue periodically to guarantee food safety in about 50 district supermarkets this summer.
