Four people in Shanghai's Fengxian District recently won the second prize in a lottery, taking home 2.3 million yuan (US$277,108). The group only spent 10 yuan on lottery tickets and now plans to divide the money evenly. About 78.63 million yuan worth of lottery tickets were sold nationwide for that particular week's issue. In Shanghai alone, 4.01 million yuan worth of tickets were sold.
