The district is engaged in building its irrigation and water conservancy systems from this winter to next spring. Besides dredging rivers and updating pumps, the district will also dig out a 100-kilometer underground water-tunnel.

*THE district successfully cultivated shrimps imported from Mexico after a 100-day experiment. About 70 percent of the shrimps, each of which weight of 20 grams on average, survived during the experimental cultivation.
