After some extensive renovations, Jiading Cultural Center and Jiading Library will re-open to the public this month. A newly built electronic reading room has been put into use and the library's children's reading room has been doubled in size. Jiading District allocated 5.4 million yuan (US$650,000) for renovation project earlier this year in order to further improve its cultural environment.
