Anting Town in Jiading District is a burgeoning and energetic town with promising prospects. The township snared 18.2 billion yuan (US$2.19 billion) in contracted investment last year, when total fixed asset investment reached 16.6 billion yuan last. The town reported a per capita Gross Domestic Product of US$12,000 for the year, when it hosted the first Chinese Formula One Grand Prix.
