Workers in the China Enterprise Building will be given valuable information
about family planning and health care, following the introduction of an
education program by the Jing'an District Population and Family Planning
Commission yesterday. Employees can attend lectures and consult experts every
Wednesday at noon. Experts will also provide information for living a healthy
life, especially on how to limit the effects of computer radiation and ease
anxiety. "Most office employees are young and want reproductive knowledge,
but they don't have the time to explore the issue," said Wang Caiqin with the
commission. The program has been praised by white-collar workers in the
building. Qiu Hongpei, personnel manager of Shanghai Nison Industrial Ltd in
the building, said learning about the knowledges within the building was
convenient for staff. And she said education provided to staff would raise
awareness within companies of the importance of providing health care to
employees, such as free medical checkups and regular exercise. Commission
officials said the building is the first to conduct the education program in the
district.
