Tourism industry booms in Jing'an

Revenue from the district's star-rated hotels and travel agencies
reached 3.5 billion yuan (US$421.69 million) last year, registering year-on-year
growth of 30 percent. The district accepted more than 1 million tourist visits
by the end of 2004, 13 percent more than a year earlier. Taxation from the
hotels climbed 11.4 percent at the same time, to hit 100 million yuan, with the
room occupancy rate hitting 71.29 percent.
