The 1st Jinshan Special Olympics were held in the district recently. A total of 330 athletics took part in the 10-day competition in a variety of Olympic sports for individuals with mental retardation. The events included swimming, ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, weight lifting, badminton as well as track and field.
