"Fragrance of the soil," a retrospective of paintings by Jinshan district farmers, was held this week at the Bund 18 Creative Center. The exhibition celebrated the 30th anniversary of this world-renowned folk art. A series of cultural-exchange activities will also be organized in future. These include the Development Forum of Jinshan Farmer's Painting and Jinshan-Hong Kong Folk Art Exchange, among others. In addition, a fund valued at 10 million yuan (US$1.2 million) will be established to support the art form.
