The Minhang government recently held a dragon-embroidering,
dragon-painting and dragon-inscription contest to promote Chinese culture and to
celebrate the Communist Party's 85th anniversary. Dragons are considered the
symbol of China, representing bravery, power and imperialism. Two works of
dragon-embroidery which won the first and second prizes at the event, will be
sent to Beijing to be displayed at a Chinese cultural show this month.
