Minhang District's industrial output hit 103.7 billion yuan last year, a 44.1 percent increase from a year earlier. The achievement should contribute to the development of new and high-tech industries, which were the major engines propelling the district's industry. The district generated 25 billion yuan in output value from the high-tech sector last year, an increase of 54.3 percent year-on-year.
