Twelve women from Laogang Town received certificates for maternal-neonatal nursing care following a three-month training program on Thursday. The women, most over 40, specialize in the care of young mothers following childbirth. They will be paid between 1,500 yuan (US$187) to 2,400 yuan a month. The district plans to train more than 4,000 of the nurses to work for white-collar families.
