Official from Nanhui District's 14 towns now have one more way to stay abreast of public sentiment. The district set up an e-mail address for each town on its Website (www.nanhui.gov.cn) so that residents can send messages directly to town officials. Three days after the launch, each town official's resume, photo and responsibilities were posted on the official Website. Currently, 102 neighborhoods and 105 towns in Shanghai have set up online mail boxes for their officials.
