Pharmaceutical giant Novartis announced earlier this week that it planned to established a medical and biological research and development center in Zhangjing High-tech Park. With an investment of more than US$100 million, the center

will cover 43,000 square meters. Daniel Vasella, board director and CEO of the

company, said he hoped the center would grow into a

global R&D pioneer in future.
