Measures taken to reduce pollution

Located in Pudong New Area, Zhuyuan No. 1 sewage treatment plant, the
largest municipal wastewater treatment plant in China, is set to go into
operation this June. The newly built plant is targeting a daily treatment
capacity of 1.7 million tons. The approximately 836 million yuan project is
expected to reduce pollution at the mouth of Yangtze River.
