By the end of last month, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd in Pudong New Area completed vessels of 1.05 million dead weight tons. As one of four shipbuilders in the city, the company's aim is to reach 1.22 million DWTs by the end of this year and to hit more than 1.5 million DWTs in 2005.
