The district will enhance the construction of its software industry base whose sales last year reached 9.8 billion yuan, accounting for half of the city's total software sales. This year, sales are expected to hit 13 billion yuan. After the completion of the third phase with the coverage of 588,000 square meters, the zone's area will be four times larger than now. In 2006, the zone plans to attract 300 software export companies with 20,000 employees and its export volume will reach US$300 million.
