Lawsuit dumped

The Pudong New Area People's Court threw out a lawsuit filed by a lawyer
against an insurance company for lack of evidence yesterday. The lawyer surnamed
Wang accused the insurance company of misguiding him and fraud. Wang said she
bought an insurance policy that promised to give her a maximum return of 15
percent of the principal three years ago. But she was informed recently that her
insurance account saw a loss. She required the company to return the insurance
fee of 21,612 yuan. The company argued that the profit rate was just an
estimated one but not a promise and it has clarified the point on its pamphlets.
