Industrial output in Qingpu District increased by 27 percent last month from a year earlier.  The biological pharmaceutical industry, always the district's backbone, increased about 78.9 percent year-on-year.  In the first nine months of this year, the distrcit's total industrial output climbed about 27.2 percent from a year earlier.
