As the summer heat causes great problems from some seniors, since mid June the community of Yinhang Road in Yangpu District has sent about 300 domestic helpers to provide special care for 960 elderly men in the area. Most live alone and have no children. The volunteers distributed cool drinks, food and daily necessities to the pensioners.
