Last week, 12 community schools started operation in the Yangpu district. The courses include cooking, calligraphy, weaving and painting among others. Chen Shiwei, deputy director of the Yangpu Party Committee, said the schools provides a good opportunity for migrant workers to improve themselves, thus helping them to be well-equipped and competitive in the job market.
