Shanghai International Design Center, which is invested jointly by Tongji University and the local government, recently broke ground on its new headquarter. The project covers an area of 9,127 square meters and will be completed by the end of 2008. At that time, it will become the largest design center in the country, facilitated by commercial and cultural infrastructure.
